RAKpedia started as an idea to gather all information (“pedia”) about Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) into a single guide; a guide that would help to plan a perfect visit, to smoothly settle down or to understand the true essence of this Emirate. After two years of intensive research and writing, RAKpedia was finally launched on 1st of January 2010.
RAKpedia is dedicated to provide genuine and extensive information about Ras Al Khaimah and every care has been taken to ensure the information contained on the website is accurate and up-to-date. However, due to the constant changes that occur in Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE, we cannot accept responsibility for errors and inaccuracies found. RAKpedia should also not be used for educational purposes. Any feedback, up-to-date information and comments are welcome.
RAKpedia is a non-governmental and non-commercial website. However, RAKpedia is recognized and supported by Ras Al Khaimah's Governement.
The companies listed on RAKpedia are not our recommendation, unless stated differently, and are there for a reference only.

WEBSITE CREDITS
RAKpedia was created by Kasia Adamus, a tourism consultant by education and resident of Ras Al Khaimah since 2005. Kasia is the author of texts and photographs, administrator and webmaster.
Her husband, Darek Sobczyk made the RAKpedia’s movies and took on the role of advisor and driver.
The site was built by ™DarkSide.
Joomla, a content management system platform, was used to create RAKpedia.
