Ras Al Khaimah has 65km of coast line. The beaches are sandy and picturesque; however, they are also in desperate need of cleaning due to the amount of litter.
The coastline of Ras Al Khaimah is about to change as many sea side projects are being constructed and every year less and less beaches are available to the public.
Probably the nicest and occasionally cleaned public beach is located in the district of Dahan, near Clock Tower Roundabout. To get there, take a first turn right after Clock Roundabout (when you drive towards Dubai), just before a palace. There are many umbrellas set to protect beach-goers from the sun and a big parking space.
Some hotels offer their guests and clubs’ members access to their private, clean beaches. |
