INFRASTRUCTURE
Infrastructure is well established in Ras Al Khaimah. Seaports, airports and roads, so important for the development of any successful economy, are present and continue to be developed. Ras Al Khaimah is home to one of seven international airports and three major seaports in the UAE (RAK Port, Al Jazirat Port and Saqr Port).
This Emirate has a good road network and excellent connections with other emirates. Since the opening of the Emirates Road (E311) in 2005, Ras Al Khaimah can be reached from Dubai and Sharjah in one hour and in less than three hours from Abu Dhabi. The East Coast can be accessed via an excellent mountain road passage going to Dibba, or alternatively via Masafi to Fujairah.
