Cycling in Ras Al Khaimah can be difficult, especially in the summer months when the temperatures and humidity are extremely high. Another issue is the hectic and unsafe traffic on the streets. Nevertheless, in the winter, and outside of the city, conditions are great and mountain areas offer a superb setting for mountain bikers.

CYCLING GEAR: you can purchase a basic bike at the Sun and Sand Sport shop in Manar Mall or in some other small shops around the city. For more advanced equipment, you have to go to otheremirates.
BICYCLE REPAIR: Oman Road is where several bicycle repair shops are located. For example, there are two shops just opposite RAK Bank. |
