Most hotels and tourism agencies can organize a quad bike trip for you. You can also rent a quad yourself and experience the desert on your own. A numerous quad rentals are situated at the Awafi Desert.
You can rent there a bike for an hour or more. The price is usually 100dhs for a small quad and 150dhs for a big one. In addition, some quad centres have small, prepared tracks on their premises for children and those afraid of the open space of the desert. To reach the Awafi Desert, you should drive towards RAK Airport and turn right just opposite Saqr Park, shortly after passing the RAK National Market. You may also find several other quad rental shops along the Emirates Road. |
